Emily & Christopher have a combined 30 years of international hospitality experience. Studying in world renowned hospitality schools, and then taking that knowledge into their roles for companies such as the Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Sofitel, and Loews, we have a deep understanding of what luxury hospitality entails. In 2017, we opened our first property, Maya Papaya. The concept of relaxed luxury is what drives our vision for our properties. With Maya Papaya, we created a “luxury hostel” concept that has acted as our guide for our next two properties, Ojala and Casi Casa. Furthering our portfolio to include home rentals, we’ve introduced 4 spectacular homes in 2023, always keeping with the theme of creating places that feel unique, luxurious, and relaxed. While our focus is hospitality in the Antigua, Guatemala area, we are looking to expand into other markets in the near future. We live in Antigua with our two kids and enjoy exploring our beautiful country!

Ojala
Ojala is our most traditional hotel, combining modern design with Guatemalan art, textiles and ceram. Our spectacular gardens were created from scratch, and are truly breathtaking in the early morning or at sunset. Please enjoy our cafe that we have carefully curated with small batch, specialty coffee from a farm just outside of Antigua. With a mix of 4 dorm style rooms and 8 private rooms, Ojala has accommodation for all budgets.

Maya Papaya
A lot of our guests say that Maya Papaya feels like a home away from home. From the beginning, we wanted our guests to experience the hostel atmosphere but with a touch of luxury. Our biggest property, Maya Papaya can accommodate 47 guests, split between 4 dorm-style rooms and 9 private rooms. We include a traditional Guatemalan breakfast, fluffy duvet covers on each bed, multiple indoor and outdoor hangout areas, game room, gym, and an amazing bar.

Casi Casa
Set in a historic Antigua home, Casi Casa gives you the true Antigua experience with all of the modern comforts. With a fabulous pool, traditional sauna, rooftop with unobstructed volcano views, lush gardens, and our very own ancient chapel bar, Casi Casa is for the travelers who want to live a true Antigua experience. Casi Casa is located on the famous Calle del Arco, just 4 blocks from Central Park.

Located just 2 blocks from Central Park, Casazul is a true hidden gem. Spacious and stylish, Casazul is full of works from talented Guatemalan visual and textile artists. A 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home, located in front of Ojala Hotel. Guests enjoy access to complimentary breakfast at Ojala, and are welcome to enjoy our common spaces.

A house for the design lovers! Experience the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort in our 3 Bedroom + loft home (perfect for 8 guests). Enjoy luxurious finishes, high-quality linens, our collection of antiques, and modern art. Explore the historic center, shops, and restaurants, just a short walk away. Each bedroom is spacious and includes large walk-in closets, brand new bathrooms, and a TV, equipped for Netflix/cable. The kitchen is fully-equipped for cooking for yourself and your group.

Great place in the heart of Antigua! Walking distance to everything you need - beautiful house with plenty of room. Outdoor courtyard inside the house is magical. The rooms are far enough away from the main entrance so you don’t hear street noise when you sleep.
